FARNESINA

DIGITAL ART EXPERIENCE

Farnesina Digital Art Experience enhances and promotes the Italian excellencies operating in the digital creative sector through the organization of exhibitions and shows or the participation in international sector events. The project is promoted by by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Cooperation in collaboration with the Embassies, the Italian Cultural Institutes and the ICE Agency for promotion abroad. The organization and promotion are curated by Bright Festival with the artistic direction of Stefano Fake.

Italy is simply extraordinary: #beIT.

Promoting Italian culture abroad is one of the main aims for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and a fundamental component of the integrated promotion plan “Vivere all’Italiana”.

In 2019, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with Bright Festival, created a new project to enhance and promote Italian digital creativity in the world, called “Farnesina: Digital Art Experience”.

The project includes a collective travelling digital art exhibition that will travel to six cities worldwide in 2020 and 2021, collaborating with the Italian Institutes of Culture.

The project was inaugurated in December 2019 with a monumental video mapping show projected on the facade of the Ministry building “Farnesina” also to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the ‘Collection of Italian Contemporary Art’s foundation by the Farnesina.

Bright Festival – an Italy-based organisation committed to promoting the new media art languages – has gathered some of the most talented art studios that stood out for their artistic skills and works in recent years.

The event fascinated more than 4.000 people and offered an overview of the most innovative style and techniques in digital production.
