Fête des Lumières

DIGITAL HUMANISM IN THE 21ST CENTURY

For the first time, four Italian art studios have been hosted within the most important European light festival, the Fête des Lumières. 

Two prestigious buildings, Temple du Change and Musèe de Gadagne, hosted digital artworks inspired by the theme: Digital Humanism in the 21st century, captivating the thousands and thousands of people who visit this enchanting event organized by the city of Lyon every year.

This event is part of the international project “Farnesina Digital Art Experience” promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for the promotion of Italian digital creativity in the world, in collaboration with Bright Festival.

DEPENDENCE

To design the addiction, the artist combined several visual techniques such as drawing, 3D modeling and generative modeling using data analysis.

THE HUMAN BIG DATA

This work appeals to the well-being and development that big data and artificial intelligence can bring to society, but also warns of the risks of social and cultural drifts that these could cause.

BELONGING [of shadows]

The images are the result of a multisensory inspiration, evoking the processes that lead to the birth of the human being, the true protagonist of the whole story. The sense of becoming is linked to the transformations of the projected matter.

ANTICA PROIETTERIA

DROP _ Interactive light installation

This interactive light installation was created to draw attention to the theme of global warming and the water cycle, metaphorically showing the impact of every human action on the environment.
